Hang onto Me, No, Hold onto Me
This piece was choreographed by Francesca Romo for Contemporary Dance Wyoming in 2025. Michaela was a movement and text collaborator and performed in the work. Light design and video editing by Daniel Sanford. This work was inspired by artist and author Maira Kalman and her book Women Holding Things.
Final Orbit
Final Orbit was a collaboration between Michaela and film maker Kayla Arend. Edited by Stamati Arakas, color by Alec Davis and the music was created by Bivwack. This piece explores our often complicated relationship with our own reflected image and the way we become chameleons; donning identities, facial expressions, make up and accessories in our never ending search for belonging and wholeness inside our own skin and the world. Ultimately we circle back to ourselves and the endless task of self-actualization and acceptance.
